Cogetherm composites are designed for electro-mechanical and thermo-mechanical applications requiring one or more of the following properties: good machinability, excellent resistance to heat and/or open flame up to 1832ºF (1000ºC), low thermal conductivity, excellent electrical insulation, extremely high resistance to pressure, high resistance to impact (cracking, and chipping), impervious to most chemicals (including oil, grease, and water), asbestos-free, and ecologically safe and non-toxic.

Marinite structural insulations are monolithic, incombustible and non-asbestos, and are available in several compositions and densities. Composed of Tobermorite calcium silicate, Marinite is available in thicknesses ranging from 1/4" to 3" and are easily fabricated from 48” x 96” sheets. The diverse selection of boards are produced by chemically reacting formulations of silica, lime, and reinforcing fibers followed by hydraulic pressure and various forms of curing and heat treating. The resultant boards exhibit the following properties:

H-91 (1000ºF Fine Grain Alumina Cement Composite Board)


H-91 is an ultra-high temperature, asbestos-free, high density, fiber reinforced composite cement board with a substrate of high alumina cement. This, combined with selected fillers, gives H-91 unsurpassed strength at elevated temperatures up to 1200ºF (649ºC). The material can be either sodium silicate dipped or silicone impregnated to minimize water absorption making the material suitable for electrical applications, especially in humid conditions.

Transite boards are high density fiber reinforced cement boards capable of withstanding high temperatures, loads, and electrical conditions with less shrinkage and degradation as compared to previous non-asbestos formulas. Transite is hydraulically pressed into monolithic boards from portland cement and selected non-asbestos, non-ceramic/refractory fibers. The board is then air-cured (Transite-HT) or oven-cured (Transite-1000) for exceptional machinability, and sanded to a standard 24 grit finish. Ultratemp boards are inorganic, incombustible Calcium Silicate structural insulation boards. They feature a xonalite structure that results in exceptional strength and extremely low water of hydration. The materials are composed primarily of lime, silica, and reinforcing fibers.
