CalCoat-127 (1200ºF Insulating and Finishing Cement)

CalCoat-127 is a proprietary blend of hydraulic cement, calcium silicate and inorganic mineral fibers, with corrosion inhibitors, that provides a smooth finish over high-temperature insulation. No wire mesh is required. It can also be used as a general-purpose insulating cement, as it is easy to trowel and resists wetting after initial application. One bag will cover a minimum of 30 sq. ft. at 1” (2.8 square meters at 25 mm) thick. CalCoat-127 can be painted with water- or oil-base paints.

Kaowool Moldable is a mixture of ceramic fiber, silica binders, and fillers which produces an insulating product with a sticky consistency. This type of mix is ideal for applications such as penetration seals, metal stud protection (as in ceramic cone anchors), and for patching refractory cracks and fissures. The temperature of Kaowool Moldable and any surface to which it is to be applied should be 70ºF (20ºC) or above to ensure proper adhesion.

Fused Silica Cement (99% Silica 2000ºF+ Cement)

Fused Silica Cement is a water based, inorganic cement for patching, joining, coating or repairing fused silica products, especially Fused Silica Foam-50 and slip cast fused silica from Foundry Service. Its composition is virtually 100% silica. Despite its high solids content, for low drying shrinkage, its pourable consistency permits easy application and usage by a variety of methods.

Quik-Cote is a mineral fiber hydraulic-setting thermal insulating and finishing cement. It is a dry mixture of mineral fiber pellets and other insulating fillers blended with hydraulic setting binders and corrosion inhibitors. When water is added, a highly plastic cement is formed with excellent trowelling and palming characteristics. The wet cement takes a hydraulic set in about 2 hours and, upon drying, provides a smooth, off-white, monolithic finish on the applied surface.
