Foundry Service’s line of high temperature fiber reinforced cement boards and fiber cement panels feature high strength structural insulating properties and excellent machinability. Cement boards are capable of withstanding high temperatures, loads, and electrical conditions with less shrinkage and degradation as compared to previous non-asbestos formulas. They are hydraulically pressed into monolithic boards from Portland cement and selected non-asbestos, non-ceramic/refractory fibers. The board is then air or oven cured for exceptional machinability, and sanded to a standard 24 grit finish. The materials are non-combustible and can withstand operating temperatures of up to 1000ºF. They have low thermal conductivity, so work well for many structural insulating applications. They are non-conductive and will not rot or mold when exposed to prolonged dampness. The materials can be cut and machined with standard carbide shop tools.
H-91 is an ultra-high temperature, asbestos-free, high density, fiber reinforced composite cement board with a substrate of high alumina cement. This, combined with selected fillers, gives H-91 unsurpassed strength at elevated temperatures up to 1200ºF (649ºC). The material can be either sodium silicate dipped or silicone impregnated to minimize water absorption making the material suitable for electrical applications, especially in humid conditions.
Minerit-HD is a low cost high density fiber reinforced cement board that is available in a variety of sheet sizes and thicknesses. It is the least expensive cement board offered by Foundry Service, but still offers high strength, good insulating value, and excellent machinability. It is non-conductive, has a smooth surface finish, and can be cut and machined using standard shop tooling. It is stocked in thicknesses from 1/8” (4mm) up to 3/8” (10mm) in 4’ x 8’ and 4’ x 10’ sheets. Common applications include fume hood liners, machined electrical insulating components, platen press insulation, and heat-resistant bases, tops, and liners.

Ultra Temp I is a noncombustible, asbestos-tree, high density board. It is engineered to handle higher temperatures, loads, and electrical conditions with less shrinkage and degradation compared to previous non-asbestos formulas.
Ultra Temp I can accommodate 600ºF after initial heat conditioning. Ultra Temp I may be used in a wide variety of applications where a combination of high strength thermal stability, electrical insulation or machinability is required.
Ultra Temp II is a non-asbestos Glass-Mica, Quart-Cement refractory reinforced with continuous fibers to increase the toughness, reliability and overall performance of the cement composite. Supplied in sheets, boards, rods and other geometric shapes.
